It is our great
burden to train up full-time Christian workers,
those who are already in the field, but without
any training in ministry. We used to offer
a one-year Diploma in Biblical Studies, conducted
on all Monday and Friday evenings, both for
men and women. We have finished 6 batches,
and our students come from different denominations
and Churches. Most of them are full-time Christian
workers, along with their wives and Lay leaders. |
Since
we believe the main task of the Church is
evangelizing its own community, we send native
missionaries and support them through prayer
and financial provision. We, as a Church,
have sent out 10 missionaries to plant Churches,
and supporting them financially. When the need arises
through illness or unexpected emergencies
we also help them by all means. At present we have 5 congregations
consisting of five language groups. Our
congregations work and exist among the non Christians, |
Our
activities include Biblical counseling for
addictions, uniting broken families so that
they can enjoy a new life in Christ, visiting
the sick, Bible clubs for children, publishing
gospel verses in the newspapers, occassionaly broadcasting
the good news of salvation on Radio and
Television, follow-up through literature
and by personal visits, Bible study groups
in various places, and lending books and
cassettes which are helpful in Christian
growth. Our dream is also to set up a resource
library for the Christian workers. |
To
reach the rag pickers and street children
showing them the love of Christ, we spend
much of our time befriending them and encouraging
them to bathe and wash their clothes. We
also give them clothes donated by Church members.
Now, through the grace of God, we have 2
homes, 24 boys are staying in our Chikkajalla
multipurpose Agape building, all attending
school and growing in the Lord, and 18 girls
are Staying in Agape Children’s Centre,
Bangalore also attending school and becoming
well balanced loved and secure with biblical
principles. All children are welcome
regardless of their spiritual background.
We treat the children and the staffs as part
of our own family, as some of the female staff
has also been at risk from abuse. We aim to prepare them as well balanced
citizens for the future and always being
their extended family. |
Mainly
boys are addicted to solvents, smoking,
drink and drugs. To feed this addiction,
perverted people physically and sexually
abuse them, and it is our tearful prayers
to bring them out of this hell by showing
“Real Love in Action” and encouraging
them to join with us as a family. Some boys
and girls as young as 6 years of age are
fending for themselves on the streets and
many have sole responsibility for younger
children and babies, scavenging for food
and shelter. |
With much prayer we are planning and preparing ourselves to send and support Kannada
speaking workers among the unreached
Kannadigas of this vast and neglected State
of Karnataka. |
| Our
vision includes the following... |
 |
Supplementing
the work of the local Church through encouraging
the establishment of Bible study groups,
by giving training, and by providing printed
study materials in regional languages. |
 |
Appointing
youth workers to reach the ragpickers
and street children (around 70 thousand), who
are living in extreme physical and spiritual
poverty, in more than 750 slums in and around Bengaluru city. |
 |
Establishing
residential family homes and 24-hour drop-in
centres for the street children and destitutes.
We seek to rehabilitate them by providing
job-oriented training, health care, and
education, so that they can read and write.
We also have a vision to offer educational
scholarships to the needy children of new
converts. |
 |
Setting
up vocational training centres and self-employment
programs, such as agricultural extension
work with the rural poor, providing safe
drinking water and rural health resource
centres. |
 |
Publishing
Bible study materials regularly in the local
languages for the growth of new believers. |
 |
Establishing a residential
School of Evangelism and correspondence distance
learning, conducting seminars to train the
Christian workers and lay leaders in the areas
of prayer life, worship, and evangelism, and
to motivate them to be a blessing to their
own community. |

| You can be a Partner in this ministry! |
YES, you can be a partner,
even though you may not be directly involved.
You can help us to reach the 1.05 billion Indians
by expressing your support through prayer, concern,
suggestions, Bible study materials and
financial help. Here is an opportunity for your
fellowship or Church to become involved as a partner
in our growing ministry. Times are changing and
many Christians are being persecuted for their
beliefs, so this is a most opportune and exciting
time to be involved in the Lord's ministry; we
Even you can talk to your Church leaders about
the possibility of supporting us by joining our
projects, and we will be very happy to receive
your suggestions and help, to go forth in this
God given ministry. |
