BELIEF

You never know how much you really believe anything until its truth or falsehood becomes a matter of life and death. It is easy to say you believe a rope to be strong as long as you are merely using it to tie a box or leave a reminder on your finger; but suppose you had to hang by that rope over the edge of a cliff. That’s when you discover how strong you really believe it to be.

What do you believe in? How much do you believe it?

I often wonder how much we actually believe in God. I know that many of us profess to believe in God and His Word, but how much faith do we really have?

C.H. Spurgeon claimed that 98% of the people he met including the criminals he visited in England's prisons told him that they believed the Bible to be true. But the vast majority had never made a personal, life-changing commitment to Jesus Christ. For them, "believe" was not an active verb.

Has your faith made a difference in your life?

Are you one of the ones that strive to look like a saint on Sunday but look like the world every other day?

I would recommend you either believe God completely or reject Him just as thoroughly.

I recommend that you either believe the Bible as His Holy Word and live by its precepts or reject it completely.

Faith in God is not a place for sitting on the fence, you are either on one side or the other.

Believe in God and strive to live your life for Him and through Him

Think of it this way, if you were stuck in the middle of the ocean in a row boat would you prefer a paddle or a working engine? Too many people are trying to paddle their way to God but the current keeps pushing them away from Him. Jesus is the engine that gets you to God every single time! He is the way to God!

John 14:6 “Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.” (NLT)

Believe in God and trust Him with everything you have! Grab hold of Him and hold on tight!

Be bold in your faith! In other places in our world people are murdered just for holding a few scriptures. Just saying the name of Jesus will get you beaten in other places. Here, we are afraid to say “Merry Christmas,” fearing we might offend someone. UNBELIEVABLE!

·   True faith is bold.
·   True faith trusts God in all things.
·   True faith does not fear.

Deuteronomy 31:6: “Be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid of them! The LORD your God will go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor forsake you." (NLT)

What do you believe in? How would anyone know? Is there any witness to your faith?

I believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I believe in God. I am not ashamed or fearful to share what I believe with others. Are you?

Psalm 27:1: “The LORD is my light and my salvation- So why should I be afraid? The LORD protects me from danger - so why should I tremble?”

Next time you see me in the store or around town, stop me and ask me what I believe in! I will gladly tell you!

I know God loves me! I know that I love God! I know that God loves you. Do you love Him? What do you believe?
